We recently purchased a HP 5100, at the end of every print job it makes a high pitch sound. I am guessing it is to alert the users that their print job is complete. Only the users who sit near the printer are complaining. And now their complaints are worse than the tone from the printer. I can find no doucmentation in the manual or a setting to turn this *feature* off. It only does it as the last page of a job is exiting the printer so I'm thinking it's related to the "end of job" but can't find anyway to turn it off.

Does anyone know?

Thanks.

I am having this same issue with the 5100. User complains of long high pitch beep while printing. Took the paper tray completely out and reset, the noise didn't return on next print, but here it is 1 hour later and I got an email saying the beep has returned. I have no idea what is causing this.
