HP Laserjet 4500 Tray 1 (Manual) Picking up Multiple Sheets

I have an HP LaserJet 4500 printer that many times will pull in multiple,
if not all the sheets from the manual feed tray. What do I need to
replace in order to fix this problem? I read somewhere that the
Separation Pad may fix this (see eBay Item number: 220045363833). Is this
correct? If not, please advise.

Additionally while I'm asking here.. <G> On color full-bleed prints,
I can see subtle lines across the page horizontally where it is SLIGHTLY
lighter than the rest of the print. Not very noticeable, almost like a
ghosting effect or something. They are consistent with a roller or
something turning over and effecting it at the same interval every time.
Would this be the drum? It is not that huge of a deal, but thought I would
ask.

Thanks!~

Clint, yes it is almost certainly the MP tray separation pad. You should
consider changing the roller as well since it is likely to be worn also.
What is the distance between the start of the defect and the start of the next
defect on the colour prints? In other words the interval between defects. This
will help identify the culprit.

Tony - I was contemplating changing out those rollers as well for
preventative maintenance, but since hearing you suggest it as well, I will
definitely do it. I will check tomorrow when I get home to let you know
the distance between the defect. I really appreciate your input. :)
