HP C8180 Bmp files?

How can I get my C8180 to save scans as bit map files. All I have been able
to do so far is get Jpeg scans. If I have to scan them to media and then
transfer them to the computer that is ok.

The best way is to use the TWAIN interface in a Photo Editor or Viewer.

Irfanview is the Free, and does a very good job.

Get the Plugins/AddOns also. They are what makes Irfanview so good.

To select the TWAIN interface in Irfanview File>Select Source.
To Scan File>Acquire/Batching Scanning.

In Irfanview, you can save the scan to whatever file type you wish.
BMP is just one image type.
