HP 9X Noisy paper feed

H

Howard Hoyt

I recently acquired a hp 960cxi and it seems the paper feed is noisy.

Before the sheet is fed, fingers come out and when the drop back they
make a fairly loud snapping noise. I am thinking maybe there should be a
rubber damper to prevent the loud snap. Printing is so quiet I cannot
hear it and it is hard for me to believe the (pre)feed should be so loud.

Anyone experienced anything like this ?

Thanks, Howard

I've got an HP2210 and it sounds like a freight train.. in fact, I
jumped the first time I printed anything ..I thought it was falling
about ! It always shakes the table when it's printing !
