Hp 7150 purple tint to photos?

Donna Swisher

Hi, I have had this printer about 6 months and it does a great job at
printing my digital photos. I only print 4x6, so no need for the big guns.
Now about 3 months ago, I started to refill the carts on this printer with
very good refill ink, I'm now on my 4th refill without so much as one
problem, till now. They are coming out with a purple tint to them, is the
printer head worn out now? I tried the clean head setting in the toolbox,
but this didn't cure the problem. I know I didn't contaminate any of the
colors, there are 6. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

It sounds like you are out of yellow ink.

Have you changed printer paper band? Gloss paper will show color
shifts if the ink reacts with the coating. I have had kodak gloss
paper go red, CG gloss paper go blue. But I'm printing with an Epson
C-80.
