HP 23, 41, and 78 the same?

Someone kept telling me those 3 HP ink carts are interchangeable. I'd
like to kno for sure because I sure can't find HP 41 anywhere at all
within 20 miles. I know of a few stores but that's over 50 miles and I
rarely go that far, and certanly not just for ink cart. I know there
are mail order sources but I'd rather not mail order anything because
it's often a lot of hassle if the ink cart is damaged or defective.

Can anyone tell if those ink carts are really interchangeable or not? I
may simply junk the HP 870cxi and not deal with the hard to find color
ink cart.

The #41, 23 and 78 cartridges are very different and are not interchangeable.
They operate at different electrically, mechanically and use different inks.
The #78 has more than twice the number of nozzles as the 23 or 41. The drop
size of the #41 is 3x that of the 23, 6X that of the 78.
