HP 2210 Psc Strange printing

I got this printer from a customer because she said it wont print
correctly. I figured it would be something easy I could fix. Guess I
was wrong. The only thing this thing will print is horizontal lines,
about 10 inches long, different widths with a total width of about 3/4
of inch. No matter what I try to print this is all I get, any ideas? I
have tried all the factory resetting and such and HP was no help.
Thanks in advance.

The rollers on the paper-feed are dirty? Have you downloaded the
most up to date drivers from HP for this printer? Have you contacted
HP tech support on-line, or called 1-800-HPINVENT???? Troubleshoot,
you have access to the unit, we can only speculate.

Assuming that you're using a different computer than your customer, and
still have the problems, the issue is likely hardware:

Have you checked the cable (tried a new one) and USB jack (USB jacks can
be physically damaged, for example, by someone tripping over the cable
while it's plugged in).

Can you print a test page from the front panel?
