hp 2020 shared on SBS - can't 'connect'

I've got Vista up and running and it looks great. However, I can't seem to
print to my shared HP 2020 printer which is located on my Windows 2003
Small
Business Server. I'm a member of the domain, logged in with a domain
account, and the workstation is a member as a computer account. I can both
see and read/write to shared folders on this server, and I can see the
printer in the active directory when I drill down to find it. (The printer
works fine for all my other machines on the network).

I can print to an HP deskjet that is shared on another XP workstation.

When attempting to connect I get the following message:
"Connecting to HP LaserJet 2420 PCL 6 on mdsbs.mxdesign.local"

Followed by the error message:
"Windows cannot connect to the printer. Either the printer name was typed
incorrectly, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server"

I also tried this logged in as Administrator. Still no cigar.

So, what's shakin?

This is a bug in the HP driver file HPBMINI.DLL. The version of this file
needs to be 16 or greater. Basically the driver does a version check on
installation and fails because Vista is version 6.

HP is well aware of the problem but I do not know whether they are updating
this file in their driver downloads.

Confirm the printer uses this file, then look at the properties of the file
to determine the version ( in
\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\hpbmini.dll).

If you installed the driver from CD, check the HP website for an updated
driver.
