How you do you manually remove .NET Framework for a successful reinstall?

Like I said below - reinstall using the Redistributable package
fails. It won't reinstall and I can't get it uninstalled using
Add/Remove Program. So how do I manually uninstall it?
What files and registry entries need to be removed so that it
is no longer on the system at all?
