how to you delete or remove a header that keeps popping up?

Ok, I added a header and footer to this document which I don't remember
saving and even if it was saved, I'd have deleted it by now. Because I use a
shared computer in my building, everybody who prints gets my old header and
footer in their documents. I never hit the default button or anything. Why
is this happening?
