You need a video accelerator card that features a RCA type composite video
output or S video output. This usually works for a desktop/tower case
computer system. While you are at it look for a card which will allow video
input as well.
An alternate would be a scan converter unit to convert the VGA output to
composite video. Commonly required to connect notebook computers to a
television.
Audio can be connected with cables and adaptors available at many chain
electronics retailers. Make sure the computer end is the type intended for
stereo headphones. Plug into the computer's line out or headphone jack.
Check for the above equipment at local computer dealers or the sites of
online computer retailers. The equipment should come with the neccesary
cables. Some models may offer the standard coaxial RCA connectors and or S
video connectors.
Be carefull about the source of your videos. There have been some files that
take advantage of player vulnerabilities to install malicious software on
people's computers. Also consider that people make their living (look at the
length of those movie credits some time) producing the films and the money
you pay renting or purchasing retail media in needed to fund the production
of new material. there's a lot of people making modest livings doing things
like building sets, mounting lights, sewing costumes, hairdressers, makeup
artists and serving lunch to crew working very long days.
