how to upgrade 04/20/1992 basic program

Hi Folks

I have a program that was writing for me back in 1992 in Basic.
This programs has work great for me until the printer part of it will not
work with windows defeault printer. (i.e. usb or something not in a file)

Question is a way to have this old basic program update to something in the
21 century. The person who wrote the basic program has pass away.

Any help and suggestion whould be great.

I guess that the simplest option would be to rewrite it in VB.NET.
