how to turn on firewall in Control Panel on xp pro

I have a Dell 9100 xp pro laptop. The firewall icon is not showing in the
control panel. I thought that was a default setting. How can I make that
icon show up in the control panel.

Are you running XP Pro SP1 or XP pro SP2?
