Hi, a friend of mine is having problem with his internet connection, so
he called his internet company. They told him what to do, but first he
should turn off his firewall. He uses NAV 2005 and the windows firewall
is already turn off.

Does he think that running NAV means he doesn't need a firewall? If so, he
is *very* much mistaken. An anti-virus program and a firewall are two
different things and both are needed to protect yourself.

Not clear as to what the specific problem is, but I can tell you that earlier
today my wife may have had a similar problem and I managed to get her around
it by disabling the NAV 2005 firewall by just right-clicking on the Norton
"globe" on the task bar and selecting "disable"... per software vendor
instructiions.

Specifically, she had just installed Broaderbund's "Print Shop Pro Publisher
Deluxe v21" and could not access any artwork via the internet ("ye olde
Red-X"). Anyway, after disabling the firewall, everything on the web was
suddenly accessable.

Good Luck (fyi: I've learned to hate both Broaderbund software and Norton)
