How to turn off context menus

I'm talking about the context menu-like shortcut that automatically appears
when you select text. This is a new feature for Word 2007 and I find it
incredibly annoying! Is there a way to turn this off?

It's called the MiniBar, and you can turn it off -- go to Office
button > Word Options > Popular and uncheck the first box.
