How to turn off action prompt popup when plugging in USB stick?

When I plug in an USB stick always a dialog windows pops up asking me what to do next.
I answer always: NO ACTION.

How can I prevent/suppress this popup in the future?
I want never a special action when pluggin in an USB stick

Your goal is to remove unwanted 'AutoPlay handlers' , not disable autoplay.
It's not the device doing that, it's the filetype association.

Right click on the drive and click properites. Choose the autoplay tab and
set all the choices to take no action.
