How to tell if there's a remote desktop connection

T

TC2

We have a system that does double duty as occasional DB lookup and for
remote use from our field office. The remote is by Remote Desktop. How can I
tell when there's a remote conneciton open? For open shared files I can go
to My Computer|Manage|Shared Folders|Open Files. Is there a similar way to
check for an open Remote Desktop conneciton?

Thanks,
Tom

I don't think that will work, Doug. In my experience:

1. "Sessions" shows active sessions using File and Printer Sharing,
not Remote Desktop, and:

2. When a client connects to a Remote Desktop server, the server
computer displays a logon screen, not the current desktop. Logging on
(which would be necessary to do anything locally on the server)
disconnects the remote client.

If you know of a way to change that server behavior, please tell us.

TC2, if the server doesn't show a logon screen, it isn't being
accessed remotely. If it shows a logon screen, it might be.
