how to stop repeated download of mails after restoring mails from.

i have restored my outlook backup from old pc to new pc by importing pst
file. but the mails which are downloaded already are downloading again from
pop3 server. please resolve my problem

You mean the same messages are downloading over and over again?
What version of Outlook are you using?

First, never import messages (or anything else, for that matter) from a PST.
It's unnecessary and you lose data. Just open the PST with
FIle>Open>Outlook Data File or reuse it as te delivery location in the mail
profile.

Apparently you are keeping copies of messages on the server. Your new
Outlook installation has no idea that you've downloaded and what you
haven't. Every time you make a new mail profile, that will be the case.
There's nothing you can do about it other than to move the messages on the
server to another server folder so that they're not in the Inbox on the
server.
