Hello,

I have many programs running and sometimes when I am typing something and
going to hit Enter, the program suddenly steals focus and comes to the
front.

Before I realise it, I had already hit Enter and accepted the default option
of whatever window that came out. It also happens in various IE windows.

I have set it in Tweak UI to blink continuously when an application requires
focus, but programs like Norton and IE tend to bypass it. It is also
annoying when gaming.

I just want the program to blink continuously in the taskbar. My question
is - is there any hack I can do to achieve that?

Thank you for any help that can be given.

My favorite is when some installer has just completed its task and steals
focus to ask me to reboot as I'm typing something in another window...

Alas, I have no solution.

Ach! I hate that. Or when some stupid window pops up while I'm typing and I press the space bar to insert a space between words
but end up dismissing whatever it was.

In general you can download TweakUI for xp it has an option for that. That
works pretty well, I never dug into it to see what the registry setting is.

But some people code their applications to specifically do that, which is
bull.
