Can some one tell me how to get back showing the date I replied to my emails
as it would automatically do in Office 2003 using Microsoft Outlook

Diane Poremsky said:Do you see the message header in the preview pane? (to, from, date, subject
fields) Right click on the edge vertical separator to the left of the pane
and choose Header information to show and hide the fields.

But that did not solve the problem. The reply date always appeared in the
preview space of the inbox not in a column. If I put a column in the view
I
cannot get it to show the date I replied to an email, it even put in
today's
date for one such column I created and then none for another.
I am still learning to use 2007 version and finding it very difficult as I
am not a programmer or an experienced user.

Maggi said:I set it up so that in the bottom half of my inbox screen I can read the
body
of the email message. There is a distinct line between which you can
adjust
to show more or less of the message.

Changing the settings under Tools | Options | Reading Pane has fixed this
exact problem for me, including the "hanging".
"Single key reading using space bar" and "Mark item as read when selection
changes" were the culprit settings.
Not an ideal fix if you really need those settings.
But it works
Thanks again Diane

:
If you right click any column you can select "Field Chooser". There
you
can
find several Date fields available. You can even define a new one if
you
want.

What do you mean by the "preview space" of the inbox?
