How to set file property # to a value > 99

I am organizing a folder of audio files by properties including genre, artist
and #. If In Explorer when I attempt to set the value for property # to a
value greater than 99, I get the message "An error occurred when writing the
property "#" to the file...".
Is there a work-a-round?
Thanks

You can't have more than 99 tracks on a CD. Thats what that number (#)
represents, the track number.

Thanks Chris! I figured that's why the limit is 99.

I've downloaded audio files of Biblical chapters from a web site (not sure
what version of Windows they're on) that have the # property set to values
beyond 100. For example, there are 150 Psalms. Perhaps these were set using a
previous version of Windows, but I just have Vista. It will be a pain to
reorganize these if I'm limited to 99. My goal is to listen to the scriptures
