Hi,
I am struggling with setting default page settings in Windows XP.
I have found three ways to accomplish this:
Choose "Properties" (right-click on the printer) ==> tab "General" ==>
button "Printing Preferences" ==> button "Advanced" ==> dropdown under
"Paper/Output - Paper Size".

Choose "Properties" (right-click on the printer) ==> tab "Device Settings"
==> dropdown under "Form To Tray Assignment - Tractor Feed".

Although you might assume that "Printing Preferences"; "Printing Defaults"
and; "Device Settings" points to default settings, it actually (in my
situation) does nothing with the default settings.
When I start an application like notepad, and look at the page setup (under
"File" ==> "Page Setup"), I can not see any of my default settings as
applied in steps one to three.
In the print form I still have to click the button "Properties" ==> button
"Advanced" ==> dropdown under "Paper/Output - Paper Size" to select the
correct paper size.
Is there any way that the settings as mentioned in step one to three can be
propagated to the settings in the Windows applications (such as notepad)?
