How to Send Messages that Remain in Outbox?

I have been using mailmerge to e-mail and sending out broadcast e-mails. From time to time, in the middle of a send I will experience a failover (don't know better word to describe) and system will stop sending. The balance of e-mails that remain in outbox - I have been unable to figure out how to resend from the outbox. I can send new e-mails and they will send right over the ones that remain in the box. Is there a way to "resend" these without having to start from the beginning?? Thanks for any help!!

Open the item in the Outbox, then click Send.
