I have an small company with 4 networked computers, one run Xp Pro , 2 others runs windows me and a laptop runs win98se, I had deployed the one running XP pro to function as the data computer for the other 3 clients, I purchased a program to do cash transactions with the 2 machines running winME as clients, the program need a drive in the XPpro machine to be mapped in order to store data on it .. the issue is how can i prevent that mapped drive to be accessed from a cliente machine from file explorer or my network places.... i now i have to share my drive C: for that drive to be mapped...

Its there anyway that windows Xp will be able just to allow that aplication to run tru that mapped drive , without compromising the free access to it ?

Unless the program was designed to support network access with specific
credentials, you won't be able to lock down the share to a specific program.
