How to save Streaming Content

Folks:

To view online audio/video content I can download the file or view streaming
content.

If I am viewing audio/video content being streamed across the internet, is
there software out there that would allow me to
SAVE streaming content to my hard drive ?

Thanks,
jo.

Hi, the file is probably already saved on your hard drive.

Take a look in the "Temporary Internet Files" folder.

Open IE and click "Tools" < "Internet Options" < Click "Settings" on the
General Tab < Click "View Files" to open the "Temporary Internet Files"
folder.

The files may not be clearly named so look for large files of the type you
are interested in, i.e. audio or video.

Hope this helps I found some of the files I had streamed in this location

I can save ANYTHING through many months of studying and learning. It
doesn't come in one single click program but it is easy once you get
the hang of it and it tefferent protocols and transport to your PC!
I remember I found this to be the most helpful place on the planet when
I first went around asking the same question:
http://p069.ezboard.com/bstreemeboxvcr
now but highly recommend that as a start.
Then you want programs.
To start you off you need two for sure:
GetASF stream. It is japanese but you can find it, probably linked from
that forum under the programs section if they still have one!
StreamboxVCR
That one is pretty old now but I still use y for a couple of BBC
broadcasts.
You might need to install winpcap too but no doubt you will learn about
that at the forum also.
Good luck!
