How to run program before login process

I would like to run a small program before the login.

Can I just edit the autoexec.bat , to start that ?

Actually , I want to run the on screen osk.exe before login. The
computer I use seldom need keyboard in put, so I hope I can get away
the keyboard. But an onscreen keyboard can be useful for the very
occasional time that requires keyboad entry. I can really get away with
the keyboard only I can have the onscreen keyboard running before the
log in screen, otherwise I simply cannot login withou the physical
keyboard.

Thanks

Would Auto Login suffice?

Start>Run>control userpasswords2>Remove tick from "Users must enter a user
name and password to use this computer"

This way you can call up osk.exe when Windows has loaded.

Just a thought!

grateful if you could further point me to some reference on how to use
this.

I also want to run "osk.exe" before the login.

I have tried about Steve's way, but have a problem as below:

The process ,"osk.exe", is processed, but I can't find the UI about it.
