Click on the diagram so that the diagram toolbar will appear.
If it doesn't, click View > Toolbars > Customize.
Select Toolbars tab.
Look for Diagram. Select it and click close.
Now, look for the 4th icon on the diagram toolbar. Click on the 4th icon to
reverse diagram.
Is that what you want?

Thanks Shawn Toh for replying.
The 4th icon - reverse diagram changes the flow direction to the opposite,
flips the diagram. It does not rotate the diagram.

Try this:
Right click on the diagram, select copy.
Now, click Edit > Paste Special.
Select a picture format (png, gif, jpeg, etc) and click Ok.
You can then rotate the image the way you want.

If you want to rotate only the arrows and not the text, you will need to
paste it as a Picture (Enhanced Metafile or Windows Metafile).
Then, right click on the picture and select grouping > ungroup. Ungroup it
again.
Now, you can group up the arrows and rotate them with the textbox unaffected.

It's a little tedious, see if others have a faster solution on this one.

Thanks Shawn Toh for your directions.
I have Visio 2003 too. Should I use Visio for making a rotatable cycle
diagram in a presentation?

If 15 degrees is the total adjustment, you will likely need to convert
it into some thing that can be rotated as a picture then.

Ok I think I'm with you.
You can't rotate the diagram manually, but in the past the way to do it
is to just use the cycle diagram for the arrows, use the rotation I told
you about set to after previous, make a mental note of where the arrows
stop then bring in the text (with a wipe or appear using after previous)
you have created as separate text boxes.

During presentation you will see the arrows move and the text appear
where you want it...

Not exactly what you asked but will give the desired effect.

As far as I know you can't. I see your problem, sorry I thought it was
for screen show.

It looks as if this is a contender for the "wish list" because if you
look at the "format autoshape/size" the rotation box is greyed out, so
they probably thought about it, but found it too hard to code the
rotation keeping the text boxes level. :)

Thanks Dave for the explanations!
My chief requires the slides as printed, not for a screen. My text boxes
were automatically created between the arrows. How to stop the diagram in
the rotated for 15 degrees position?
Dave said:
Ok I think I'm with you.
You can't rotate the diagram manually, but in the past the way to do it
is to just use the cycle diagram for the arrows, use the rotation I told
you about set to after previous, make a mental note of where the arrows
stop then bring in the text (with a wipe or appear using after previous)
you have created as separate text boxes.

During presentation you will see the arrows move and the text appear
where you want it...

Not exactly what you asked but will give the desired effect.

I do not need an animated cycle diagram. I want it static, but rotated for
15 degrees from its current position. The text should remain horizontal.
"Dave" <[email protected]> ???????/???????? ? ???????? ?????????:

Am I missing something?

Can you not use the animation "Emphasis/Spin" and dial in any amount of
degrees, clockwise or anticlockwise...

In message <[email protected]>, Dmitry
No. I will have to make the cycle diagram by hands.
"Bob I" <[email protected]> ???????/???????? ? ???????? ?????????:
Then you will have to forgo the 15 degree adjustment.

This way my text in the boxes, between the arrows, will rotate too

will
be inclined which is bad.

If 15 degrees is the total adjustment, you will likely need to
convert
it into some thing that can be rotated as a picture then.

I mean both: spin like a fan counterclockwise for 15 degrees and

Odd request. What do you mean "rotate counterclockwise"? Do you
mean
to
spin like a fan? Or do you mean to change the position of the
arrows
in
the box?

Thanks Shawn Toh for replying.
The 4th icon - reverse diagram changes the flow direction to the

opposite,

flips the diagram. It does not rotate the diagram.

Thanks Dave for your opinion!
Can Visio 2003 make the diagram with a text atop in the cycle?
