How to restore contact addresses lost in an upgrade?

In order to download software enabling me to logon to my work computer
remotely from home, I was required to upgrade my Windows XP to a version that
included Service Pack (SP) 2. This upgrade caused me to lose my inbox and
all contact addresses in my personal e-mail at home. How do I restore or
retrieve that information?

Doubtful.
I suspect you've lost nothing.
Just set Outlook to use the same data file it did before. I'm sure you know
how since you back up your data carefully before major upgrades, right? I
bet you eve know your Outlook version. We don't.

Installing SP2 on a WIndows XP system won't affect Outlook in any way. I've
done it.
