how to restore automatic dial-up?

S

My new laptop with WIN XP had a very convenient setup by
which the dial-up screen would pop-up everytime IE6 was
launched, if not already connected of course.

I unfortunately broke this up, as I needed temporarily to
connect to a LAN...

I tried to restore this nice setup by disabling the LAN
connection and selecting "Always connect using the default
dial-up connection" in the "Connections" tab of
the "Options" menuitem of IE6. However this does not help,
even if I reboot.

Did I miss something?

Many thanks. Stefano

I believe it's a different option in the same area: "Dial whenever an
internet connection is not present." Apply\okay\reboot.
