How to remove unknown username and password from Access?

I am using office 2000 and am unable to open current or new access databases,
a dialog box appears and asks me for a username and password which I dont
know. The security wizard was half set up by another user and half way
through they selected finnish instead of cancel and they dont know the
username or password. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling office but
no luck. Is there any way of over riding the security settings? Please Help!!

You need to undo what they half-did. The security wizard probably created a
new workgroup file, and you are now joined by default to it, rather than the
standard mdw that ships with Access.

Do a search on your computer for all *.mdw files, and note their location.
Next use Start, Run, wrkgadm.exe to start the workgroup administrator. It
will show you the mdw file you are currently joined to. Click on browse and
join system.mdw (it usually is located in the windows system folder, but try
each of the mdw files you found). After joining it, open Access and try to
create a new mdb - you should no longer get the prompt to login.
