How to remove a misspelled word mistakenly added to dictionary?

A simple question but I can't find the answer. I mistakenly added a
misspelled word to the standard dictionary and would like to go in and remove
it. How does one go about that?

Do a file search and locate the CUSTOM.DIC file. This is a text file that
you can open with Notepad. Locate the word you wish to remove and delete the
line from the file.

Save and close the CUSTOM.DIC file.
