How to register Windows XP

Not really sure that you have to register your software.
Activate--YES. Which you already did. When I tried to
register XP that came with this computer, I would get
an "error" message that said the system was busy and to
try again later. I would and get the same message. When
I tried calling Microsoft directly I was told that they
didn't care if I registered or not that. As far as
tecsupport they said that was up to the company that sold
me the computer.
If anyone else can be of more help, please do.

Hi all.

When installing Windows XP I am asked whether I wish to
register my details or just activate for now. I chose
to 'activate for now'. How do I go back to register my
details.

There is no need to register - and I don't. The only benefit is to get
your copy's Product ID registered for the two free 'support incidents'.
Other than that it is just for the benefit of MSoft Market research
