My OS is: Win. XP Pro. DSL Ethernet Conn. Dynamic IP
Services (Local)
My question is related to the correct settings in:
Services (Local)/Properties/Under Recovery (in case a service fails)
RECOVERY means: for example when You go to Services and You click the
Properties of one selected Service,,
then You go to Recovery,,, So there under Recovery ..what are the correct
settings for those Services .. I couldnot find any one or any
Site that would tell You any thing about that part !!
I was at Black Viper Site at: http://www.blackviper.com/. They have
everything related to Services, but they don't have anything about Recovery
settings.. I hope You know what I mean,
Services were set to either: Start Up The Service, or, Start Up a Program,
or Start Up The Computer, on First Failure, on Second Failure, & on
Subsequent Failures !!
( I was told by some one to reset them all to: Take No Action) but he is
not sure..
My little brother did a big mess.. in that area.... he changed the settings
under Recovery
for the following Services
1- Com + System Application
2- Telephony
3- DHCP
4- DNS
5- Help & Support
6- IIS Admin
7- Internet Connection Firewall
8- Print Spooler
9- Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
10- Remote Registry
11- Themes
12- True Victor
13- Universal Plug and Play Device Host
14- Windows Management Instumentation
So would You please check for me on above mentioned Services Properties
Under:
Recovery. How they are set , and what is the BEST PRACTICE of Settings in my
case..
thanks for your time & for your help.
