How to print from a limited account

Hi,

I have
- windows XP SP2 pro
-A Lexmark X83 printer connected to my computer with an USB connection.

All works fine (printer and scanner) under the administrator account.
But under a limited account it is impossible to print or to scan. I have a
vocal message that says communication problem with the printer.

Do some knows how to solve the problem ?

Thanks.

If you have a Norton (Symantec) or McAfee product installed on the PC, in
the Printer Properties (Advanced) try setting it to print direct to printer.
Or use a different A/V product that works correctly.

Hi Cari,

I have no anti-virus on my PC.

I don't understand the relationship between antivirus and my printing problem.
Can you explain me, please ?

Thanks.

Find out if the driver is writing temp files to a location that the user
does not have write access. I have seen a driver that wrote its temp files
to \windows\temp which caused a similar failure for remote users. I have no
idea if Lexmark performs this function, you would need to ask Lexmark.

Thanks Alan,

Unfortunatly Lexmark does not make any support on this printer any more.
I aslo had the feeling it comes from the driver.
