My program is much like a DOS program so there are no menus. To print I
simply type a "P" in the transmit field and hit enter and it sends the
request to my default printer. So there are no options to choose a printer or
choose any print settings at all. I suppose I'll have to contact my IT
department with this, but there always too busy for questions of this sort.

XL Curious,
Does that program have a Print Dialog also (dialog box opens to choose
printer & settings......"File">"Print..." or [Ctrl] + P)?
If so, look through the Print Dialog to see if it will allow you to "Print
to File". Hopefully it will print in a format that is easily parsed by XL.

I have a program that automatically prints a report to my default printer
without opening a print window first. Is there a way to add Excel to my
list
of available printers to that I can choose it as my default printer?
