How to prevent all contacts in e-mail being added to my address bo

I have recently purchased a new computer am using Windows Mail on Vista. I
have set up Mail with all my Contacts, having deleted out any old unwanted
ones. However, I have just received an e-mail and every addressee on that
e-mail has been added to my address book. How do I disable this. I know it's
not a Windows Mail problem as I had the same problem with Outlook Express. I
receive e-mails from several people regarding my sons sports teams and do not
wish everyone else to be added to my address book, only the person sending
the mail.
Any ideas? Thanks

Click on Tools, Options, Receipts. If there is a blue dot in the circle
before
Always send a read receipt, click on one of the other circles in this
section
and then Apply. Click on Send. If there is a check mark in the box before
Automatically put people I reply to in my Contacts list, click on this box
and then Apply. Click on OK.

Note that if you now want a sender added to your Contacts list, you will
have to add him or her.
