With Outlook 2003, SP-1
I want to change the .ost file that my profile/account points to
(different from change the path). Here's why.
To begin with, I have 2 different profiles:
1. [POP] with a pop3 account and
2. [MSE] with an MS Exchange account [mse_acct].
[MSE] is associated with outlook.ost.
All was well, but cumbersome, switching back and forth and all.
I've created a new profile, beginning with a copy of [POP] and added the
MS Exchange account [mse_acct]. I managed to get the account resolved,
and I now want the profile to operate entirely in offline mode, with only
occasional manual synching of the MSE account folders Calendar, Contact,
Notes, and Tasks,
PROBLEM: OL creates a new .ost file, outlook1.ost, and I can't get it to
point back to outlook.ost.
Is there some barrier to pointing two different profiles to the same
account and to the same OST file?
THANKS
