How to open ".xls" attach. from WinMail?

Have same problem as Kelli. When I try to open, am told that it's not
supported and to set file association. I've gone there and it's supported as
all outdoors. Is suffix".xls" a security, coded file of some sort? How do I
open these files?

..XLS is an Excel spreadsheet which should open with Excel or an Excel
Viewer, if you don't have Excel installed.
