how to move a out-of-desktop window back ?

I met this problem with microsoft office photo editor on
Win 2000, but it may just be a windows problem.

When I start the program, I cannot find its window on the
desktop, other than an icon on the task bar. If I right
click the icon and choose "maximize", the window shows up
full screen, but when I choose "restore" (presumably to a
smaller size), it disappears. If I choose "resize"
or "move", the mouse pointer goes to the right edge of the
screen, and it would not resize or move anything. I
believe the window is somewhere outside the desktop (and I
am not use any dual monitor setup at all). Is there
anyway I can get this window back to the desktop area?

Thanks.
