How to make Subtitles (for an embedded movie)

I've got an embedded 5 minute long SWF file on a slide. Now I need to
add subtitles below the movie. (Movie is in English and subtitles will
be in Swedish.)

What's the best way to make subtitles appear?
TIA!

Personally, I would put them in the Flash file - - if I knew how. Otherwise you
could add text boxes to the slide and animate them to appear as you want them.
You'll probably have a big task getting them synchronized though.

Agreed adding text to the flash presentation would be great. As you say,
the problem is knowing how to do that.

I've played with the text boxes. It would be great if each new
appearance of a paragraph would scroll the previous paragraph up--kind
of like a teleprompter. In this way the timing would be a little easier
and it would only require the creating of one text box (or at least a
few text boxes instead of appearing/disappearing a new text box for
every new paragraph).

Any ideas?

Since you haven't let us know what version of PowerPoint you are using, I'll
just say that you should experiment with Entry and Exit animations if you are
using PowerPoint 2002 or 2003.

Thanks for the tips. So as to respect copyright, we contacted the maker
of the flash presentation. They have sent the manuscript which my wife
is translating with which they'll make a subtitled version.

When this subtitled version is published I'll drop by with the link. :)

Thanks again.
