how to make BDC in W2k Adv. Srv

Hi,
I want to make a dedicated BDC (as we used to do with Win
NT) to give additional support to my Win 2k Server. Can
anyone please tell me the steps how to go about it and
also how to syncronise it with my existing PDC with win 2k
Srv. I am new to win 2k environment but have worked a lot
with win Nt environment on versions 4.0 & 4.5.

Hi,

In Windows 2000 there isn't such thing as a BDC role. All Domain Controllers
are simply DCs and changes can be made at any DC, not just a PDC like NT.
To add another DC to you domain you simply need to promote a Windows 2000
Server by running "DCPromo" from Start/Run. The wizard will walk you through
the rest.
