How to lock Excel 2007 quick access toolbar to be always visible?

Microsoft has totally f*#¤ed up the good old Office GUI on version 2007. I
try to find a way how to do some regular tasks with this buggy and unfriendly
and unproductive Excel 2007 interface, but every now and then new obstacles
are rising.

The ribbon system is very limited and hardly functional for several tasks. I
put some essential control buttons onto quick access toolbar, that is
littlebit similar to the good old Excel toolbars, but by far not so flexible.
When I use this system with maximized window, it makes the Excel 2007 almost
usable. But as soon as it is important to use screen space more economical
way, using a Excel 2007 table in a very narrow window, extremely nasty
feature appears - the quick access toolbar vanishes completely! Is it
possible to make the toolbar always staying (even if the width of the Excel
window is only one or some regular columns wide)?

PS: Please, Microsoft, be reasonable and replace the ribbon system with the
normal interface!

I agree,
The new interface is totally non-productive for me also, I tried the trial
version of Office 2007.
It lasted about ten minutes before I uninstalled it.
I refuse to go any further than Office 2003, unless the old-style toolbars
are returned.

I think there are add-ins that will get you
old type menus. Btw I agree, I lost probably
30% in productivity using 2007 and while I have
it installed I never do work using it.
