How to keep unread mail, "unread" until I double click it.

At first I could glance at my unread mail, and it would stay unread until I
double clicked on it. Now it changes to read mail just by glancing at it.
My hard drive was replaced and now I'm not sure how to set up the unread mail
like it was.

Version of outlook?
tools, options, other, reading pane option - disable (remove check) mark as
read after xx seconds and when selection changes.
