How to keep F lock ON at all times?

Have a Logitech Elite keyboard and the dang F keys are always unusable
until I remember to hit the F lock key. My desk drawer doesn't pull out far
enought to show all the keys above the F keys easily.

Is there a way around this? Other than a new desk or installing a different
drawer.

I believe that if you go into the keyboard configuration program and set the
F keys to do 'nothing', they will function as regular F keys regardless of
the F Lock.. I did this with the F8 key on mine..

How do I get to the keyboard configuration please? My control panel/keyboard
only allows me to change Character repeat and Curser blink rate.

The Logitech installation media has a facility called 'iTouch Configuration'
which should have been installed at the same time as the keyboard was bought
and hooked up.. look for a folder somewhere in your Start menu called
Logitech and you should find it.. failing that, go to the Logitech website
and download the entire package for your keyboard and re-install it..

The keyboard icon in Control panel is a 'Windows' equivalent of the keyboard
settings in BIOS, which is where used to have to go to alter cursor speed
and repeat rates..

Now, if you had installed a Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 keyboard, or presumably
any other newish MS keyboard, you would have found ways, via this icon, to
change some of the keyboard functions other than just typematic rates..
unfortunately, it would seem that Logitech are not allowed, or maybe choose
not to integrate their keyboard functions control panel into the Windows
keyboard icon..

Noooooooooooooooooo..

Buy a keyboard that you like, where the functions, touch, key spacing suit
your needs.. never buy a keyboard just because it's control panel integrates
with the keyboard icon in WCP..

You'll regret it. Microsoft Keyboards and mice are nowhere near the quality
of Logitech, and the software is drastically inferior.

You should have installed the software that came with your Logitech
keyboard.
It would have allowed you to customized the keyboard to behave the way you
want it behave. Of course, this would require a modicum of time and effort
on your part. FWIW, it is much more difficult to deal with the Function
keys on the one Microsoft keyboard I still have...
