how to install programs only in one user account(windows xp family edition)

i would like to know that can you install a program or
software on to only one user account on windows xp family
edition because my whole family uses the computer and they
have thier own user accounts but everytime i download a
program the program gets saved into thier user account
aswell is the way that i could only have the
software/program just saved onto just my user account

Here's a way to make the programs only appear in your
Start menu:

Go to c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs, and locate the program's folder. Move the
folder to C:\Documents and Settings\(your name)\Start
Menu\Programs. Now only you will be able to access that
program from the Start menu.
