how to global search and replace text contained in autotext?

I have many hundreds of autotext entries that contain two words I need to
delete, and I DO NOT FANCY having to individually edit each damn entry, is
there a way to gain access to the autotext and do a global replace/delete of
all occurrences of the specific words?

Go to http://jay-freedman.info and download two templates,
AutoTextDumper and AutoTextLoader.

Make a backup copy of Normal.dot (or whatever other template contains
your autotext), just in case...

You can save the two templates into the Word Startup folder to make
them always available, but it's easier to just put them in the User
Templates folder and choose one at a time from File > New when you
want to use them.

Use the dumper to make a document containing all the current autotext
entries in a table. Do the replacement on this document, using the
standard Edit > Replace function. Then use the loader to reload the
table into the autotext, replacing any existing entries with the
altered ones from the document.
