How to get that "create an exchange mailbox" tickbox when creating a new user?

Hi,

you know when you create a user and after you set the password it
usually then goes onto the final, "finish" window....well on two of our
servers this is not the case. Between setting the password screen and
the final screen we get a "new object" window where we can put a tick
into "create an exchange mailbox" and give that person an alias.
This then creates a mailbox for that user and hey presto you don't have
to log into exchange server seperately to do your stuff all the info is
taken from active directory and you're done.

However, I now need a couple of users who open up users and computers
from a mmc on their PCs and when they add a new user (after I've
install the admin pack to enable them to have the snap in) they don't
have this option to create an exchange mailbox.

Obviously something was done to enable this on these 2 servers that
allow us to do this, however i do not know what it was.

Can someone please talk me though what i need to do?

Everlasting life is yours if you do :)
Ta.

System 2003 active directory and 2003 exchange server.

sorry i meant that on two of our servers this IS the case and nowhere
else does this exchange mailbox creation option appear on any other
server or for any user using an mmc locally for user account creation.
I need to know what to install to enable this function on several
peoples' PCs so they have this option when creating users.
Please help!

Thanks.

Sorry i meant that on 2 of our servers we DO get this ability when
creating a new user however i need to enable this functionality on a
couple of peoples' PCs who will be doing user account management from
their workstations using an MMC with the AD plugins.

Any idea whaat i need to install on their PCs to enable this feature?
Thanks.

There is no admin on Usenet, in the sense of somebody who can delete
posts. It doesn't work that way..

Cheers,

Hi - you might want to consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or
Forte Agent rather than Google Groups or the MS web interface to the
newsgroups - it's a lot easier to do nearly everything there, including
searching, which is always a good idea to do before you post, as well as
mark messages to be watched, and filter based on replies to your posts. And
you get fewer "duplicate post" incidents, if any at all.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like.

You can't cancel your own posts & they'll likely just stick around til they
expire - no worries.

Also, you might want to reconsider your interesting choice of email
address/account name - most people are likely to think you're just a spammer
or troll.

You need to install Exchange admin tools - if you insert the exchange C
into one of the machines in question and follow the setup program - yo
will come to a screen where you select what options you want.
De-select everything except admin tools (I'm not sure what the exac
name is right now but you should be able to spot it). That should d
the trick.

Lol i know what you mean re. the name. It wasn't through choice
honestly. What happened when i was trying different names was that i
hit the wrong button when testing availability (ie i hit "use this
name" or whatever). Then when i found a name i was going to use it said
that I had already registered and i had no idea which one that i had
registered.
When i then logged into google the next time i spotted the name i had
"chosen". Typical i thought, out of all the names i managed to choose
this one....lol.
Yah I'll email an invite to myself from gmail and register another
name. Don't worry though as you'll still recognise me from the banality
of my posts :p
