How to get rid of the editing pencil

I am using a combo box to look up a cliet. On that form I update information
and unless I click the column with the pencil in it, the clients data will
not be updated. How can I set up the form so that when I press enter, the
data for the lcient is updated and I can proceed to the next entry. Any help
will be appreciated.

Hi Bill,
access updates (saves) the data on a form when you move to the next entry.
This happens automatically without any need to press enter - assuming you
are using a bound form.
