How to get rid of system folders on desktop?

A computer manufacturer has put on the desktop an icon for Virgin.net
and the owner of the computer does not want to use that ISP.

But when he tries to delete the icon he is told it's a system folder
and he can't delete it.

What to do?

Look at Attrib under help to see how to remove the system attribute. I
think it is with the -s option. Hope that helps.
