How to get hotmail e-mail on your Windows Live Mail

"You may have tried to link Windows Mail to a Hotmail, MSN Mail, or other
e-mail account via HTTP forwarding. That's no longer supported in Windows
Mail."

That's the error message I get when I try to get Windows Live Mail to read
from my hotmail account. How do I setup Windows Live to access my hotmail
account? More specifically, during setup when it asks for an email address
what do I enter? (it won't accept my hotmail address), and, what do I enter
for the incoming (POP3 or IMAP?) and outgoing (SMTP) servers? I'm new to
Vista and the e-mail setup, so please talk in layman's terms. Thanks!

That error message reads like you are using Windows Mail, but thinking it is
Windows Live Mail instead. They are two separate programs with confusingly
similar names. Windows Mail won't connect to Hotmail, so you may want
to make sure you have Windows Live Mail, which will, in addition to taking
over any accounts you have in Windows Mail.

If you have more questions about Windows Live Mail, you're likely to get
answers for them faster if you ask in newsgroup:
